The Trashiest Weddings People Have Ever Been To

Wedding season is officially upon us, ladies and gents! I don't know about y'all, but I'm personally excited about spending my savings on the ridiculously overpriced wedding registry in exchange for semi-hot groomsmen and unlimited open bars. We recently uncovered a two-year-old Reddit thread about the trashiest weddings people have been to, and boy, these are some crazy stories. Trashy weddings seem to be most entertaining, and I hope we're all lucky enough to score an invite this summer.

    Font - bb_or_not_bb · 2y Well there was the one where I walked in the bathroom and the bride and 3/4 of the bridesmaids were doing lines of cocaine off the sink. The groom spent his entire time outside with his buddies drinking beer after beer and chain smoking. And then people got drunk and started tearing the venue apart (the best man ran into a wood bannister at fll speed to knock it over, people were throwing glasses everywhere, etc).     Every aspect of this wedding is the epitome of trash. Makes for good entertainment though.

Within a couple weeks of him getting out of prison, she was pregnant. This would be his 5th kid with 4 different women.     Font - [deleted] · 2y Invited but didn't go. It was a 2-day 'wedfest' with 'guests' expected to work catering shifts on day 2. Different people were invited to different days, so the guest list was very blatantly tiered. Plus constant begging emails saying "you don't have to work a shift but please remember to sign up for one and also please pay for our two honeymoons!".

I was too young to remember all the details but his teen daughter was dressed in a red dress with a split right up to... well, it left little to the imagination. And at the reception the best man read a poem about how all women are prostitutes. The marriage was annulled very shortly after.

We were hanging out at my house and she says "So the other day future mother in law calls me and says I have to add a plus one for a COUPLE. This way 'Jeffrey' can come." (Jeffrey is an adult.     Handwriting - LilyTui · 2y I was brought as a date to a cash bar wedding that literally required cash, but no one had been warned. It was in the middle of absolutely nowhere, and I was the only one in a dress other than the bride. Also, the salad was a piece of iceburg lettuce with a dollop of mayo on top. My date and all the guys just stole all the golf carts from the "country club" and crashed them on the interstate in races.

It was open bar with inexperienced bartenders who didnt bother to ID, so my 14 year old cousin got trashed and banged my (now ex) husbands 46 year old uncle. Also a fight ensued from an unrelated issue between the best man, all of the groomsmen, my parents, my MOL FOL. It was also outdoors and pouring so my dress was full of mud.     Human body - [deleted] · 2y I didn't really go to this wedding but I went into a small dive bar to get a 6-pack to go and there was a wedding going on! The bride was very pregnant and there were just a bunch of older hillbilly type of people sitting and drinking at the bar. It was bizarre.

    Font - kinga_maria · 2y A co-worker of my mothers wedding was still the most terrible I've ever been to. The brother of the bride hated the groom and ended up pushing him down a flight of stairs. After that, a huge physical fight broke out between the two families. All the other guests (myself included) ended up leaving early because it got so violent and literal tables were being thrown and glasses were getting smashed. The couple got divorced shortly after. It was dramatic to say the least.

    Font - Audacia220 · 2y Probably the one where the bride and groom wore home made costumes. They were hand sewn, poorly. Harley Queen was 20 years older than her Joker and even the face paint and spray on hair dye was cheap. Wedding favors were little bottles of those 99 liquors. Think 99 bananas, 98 grapes, etc. Wedding was fun! Marriage lasted about one year.
